Business Development Associate

Location: Lander, WY

This entry-level position will be in the core of business development with the goal to expand the client portfolio of the company across the United States. We are a fast growing organization and look for a talented professional self starter to help generate revenues by offering marketing, advertising and video production services to clients in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development, Sales & Marketing

  • Achieve revenue growth and hit sales targets by presenting marketing solutions to clients in the tourism industry representing destinations, hotels and attractions
  • Create and maintain long-lasting client relationships with destination marketing organizations, hotels and attractions
  • Develop territories across the United States, but with focus on West Coast and/or East Coast
  • Major focus on prospecting, sales presentations, proposal writing, follow up strategy and closing in person and over the phone
  • Create formal proposals, based on RFP release from government organizations
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that expand company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Design and implement marketing materials that are inspiring and understandable to prospects
  • Present sales revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the business development team
  • Identify upcoming markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Work closely with client to identify marketing needs and priorities responding to and challenging briefs
  • Work with the team on client service delivery with ability to present final reports to clients
  • Check and review received contracts for all deliverables

Experience and other Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write professionally for varied audiences and in different voices.
  • Ability to issue binding contracts for government and private organizations
  • Must be open to travel by car for client meetings and conferences at least once per month
  • A deep understanding about marketing needs in the travel and hospitality industry
  • Professional level of social media experience to present cutting edge technology solutions to the travel and hospitality industry
  • Experience in business development and the sales process
  • Understanding of the principals of content strategy and influencer marketing
  • Understanding of and keen interest in – content trends and how they affect decisions
  • Understanding how social media can be part of owned, earned and paid communication
  • Strong analytical and math skills to calculate revenue forecasting.
  • Understanding about Real Time Marketing
  • Comfortable presenting in front of clients and colleagues
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Meet absolute deadlines while exceeding client and team expectations
